The puppies are growing really well. We have finished the daily weigh-ins and are confident they are fine to only weigh once a week going forward. They have opened their eyes and are able to walk short distances on their legs - no more funny tummy swimming!

It is definitely time to put the higher door in the whelping box. A few days ago Coops came to check on them and one pup was missing. Eventually he found the largest S&P girl asleep under the bed in the middle bedroom. She was probably exhausted from her adventure and big walk down the hall. She had somehow managed to clamber over the entrance of the whelping box which is about 5 inches high.

The other interesting thing that happened is that Suzy found a pheasant in the whelping box the other day. We think Belle went and fetched the pups a tasty treat! They are probably a little young to be feasting on fresh game but we are beginning to offer supplementary milk (no one is interested yet).
